In 1960, Berkeley Preparatory School was founded in affiliation with the
Episcopal Church. As an
Episcopal School, Berkeley has always welcomed students from all faiths, traditions, and perspectives. We believe this religious diversity enriches our experience, as each member brings important gifts to our community. Berkeley strives to know and nurture each student on campus, and a robust spiritual life is one essential aspect of this charge.
Spirituality is woven into everyday life at Berkeley, permeating all corners of campus. The promotion of moral and spiritual values, as mandated through our mission statement, is lived out with utmost care. We understand this directive in holistic terms, striving to safeguard the free movement and expression of God in this place.
