  • Will my child have the opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletics at Berkeley?

    With 16 different sports and more than 72 teams, all students in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to participate in Berkeley interscholastic athletics. Berkeley teams compete against public and independent schools as a member of the Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA). In Middle and Upper divisions, we have close to an 80% participation rate and many multi-sport athletes in our athletic program.
  • How does my Middle Division athlete become involved?

    Berkeley offers a wide range of sports teams specific to the Middle Division. Like varsity, Middle Division teams practice or compete every weekday in season and have occasional Saturday contests. These teams are: basketball, football, cheerleading, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball, lacrosse, wrestling and tennis. Middle and Upper division students compete together as a varsity team in cross-county, swimming and diving and golf.

Founded in 1960, Berkeley is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory day school located in Tampa, FL, for boys and girls in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12. Approximately 1,400 students gather here from the greater Tampa Bay area to form ONE Berkeley.
