Holy God,
You remain with us in times of calm and in times of anxiety.
Give us a palpable sense of your presence in the coming days,
as many across the Gulf prepare for Tropical Storm Idalia.
Be with those evacuating, granting them traveling mercies.
Be with those sheltering in place, offering them safety and security.
Be with all emergency workers; all who provide care in the face of peril.
Keep us all free from danger and harm.
May we know of your mercy and peace, whatever may come.
In your holy name we pray.
