Hurricane Relief Supplies Delivered to Those In Need

On October 11, the generosity of the Berkeley community was fully realized for hundreds of Hurricane Dorian victims in the Hawksbill community of Grand Bahama Island. The community members who came to the St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Hawksbill received relief supplies provided by the Berkeley family as part of our hurricane relief effort held on September 13. The entire mission to get the supplies from Berkeley to Hawksbill was orchestrated by the Tsavoussis family. They not only coordinated getting the supplies to the Bahamas but were also hands on with distributing the supplies to those in need. Elias ’16 and Paul ’13 made sure to represent their alma mater by wearing their Berkeley shirts as they handed out supplies in front of a Berkeley banner.
